Quality affordable homes and rental assistance

Working at HAJC

The Housing Authority of Jackson County has been creating housing opportunities in Southern Oregon since 1969. At its core, HAJC exists to support our community by providing, developing, and maintaining decent, safe, and affordable housing.

HAJC believes every individual and family should have a home of their own. Our employees make that work possible, with each department contributing to the programs, properties, and services that support households throughout our community.

Each employee is a valued part of HAJC's success. Thank you for your interest in joining our team.

From Our Team

HAJC employees have the opportunity to see firsthand how stable housing can change lives. One staff member described beginning her HAJC career as a resident manager, where she worked directly with families from many different backgrounds and saw residents achieve goals such as employment, homeownership, and family reunification.

That experience led her to continue growing within the agency and build a long-term career serving households throughout Southern Oregon.

Why the Work Matters Housing stability can create the foundation people need to pursue employment, education, financial stability, and other long-term goals.

Hiring Policies

HAJC's core purpose is to provide housing and assistance to members of our community. The ability to serve others with care and compassion is an important part of the work, alongside the skills and experience required for each position.

HAJC believes that having dedicated employees serving the community, regardless of role, is fundamental to the agency's success.

Equal Employment Opportunity

HAJC is committed to equal employment opportunity and equitable treatment throughout its hiring and employment practices.

HAJC does not discriminate on the basis of disability in its hiring or employment practices and complies with applicable requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Applicants or employees who need a reasonable accommodation or modification related to employment may contact the Human Resources Manager at cindy@hajc.net or 541-779-5785, extension 1054.

Employment Contingencies

Applicants receiving a conditional job offer may be required to complete a criminal records check and Department of Motor Vehicles check as part of HAJC's hiring process.
