Housing Authority of Jackson County
For more than 50 years, HAJC has expanded affordable housing opportunities and helped families build greater stability throughout Jackson County and the Rogue Valley.
Our Story
The Housing Authority of Jackson County has provided affordable housing and rental assistance to our community for more than five decades.
HAJC began as a small public housing authority administering a few hundred Section 8 housing certificates with a small team of employees. Over the years, the agency has worked to expand housing opportunities and respond to the changing needs of Jackson County residents.
Today, HAJC provides housing stability for more than 4,000 Jackson County households and has grown to become the largest developer, owner, and operator of affordable rental housing in Southern Oregon.

A Message From Our Executive Director
Our work extends beyond providing housing. HAJC's Board of Directors and team of professionals are committed to increasing the supply of affordable homes, decreasing homelessness, and helping families achieve greater stability throughout the Rogue Valley.
Through partnerships with organizations across the region, HAJC is able to provide affordable housing alongside services that support housing stability and pathways toward self-sufficiency.
We believe home is the foundation that allows individuals and families to thrive. Our team continues to pursue solutions to homelessness, including permanent supportive housing, while developing homes and communities that improve quality of life.
We are proud of what HAJC and our community partners have accomplished, and we look forward to continuing collaborations that expand affordable housing and create greater opportunity for the people we serve.
