Quality affordable homes and rental assistance

Applying for Housing

The Housing Authority of Jackson County owns and manages a variety of affordable housing communities throughout Southern Oregon.

Rents at these properties are not based on household income and do not include rental assistance. However, rents are generally below market rates, helping make these homes more affordable than many comparable units in the private market.

Applicants should review available housing options carefully and apply to the properties and unit types that best meet their household needs.

Waiting Lists & Estimated Wait Times

All HAJC apartment communities currently have waiting lists. Wait times vary based on the property, bedroom size, unit availability, and the number of applicants already on the list.

Wait Times Can Vary Apartment waiting lists generally range from approximately six months to four years. Some properties or unit sizes may have longer waits. HAJC works to house applicants as quickly as possible, but cannot guarantee when a specific apartment will become available.
